“Easy Money”

Easy Money - isn’t that what all the big gurus promise as they push the next sure thing on the internet? But… is it really? Is there such a thing as Easy Money online?

I guess it really depends on what your definition of Easy Money really is. When you say Easy Money do you mean just rolling in the bucks without doing any work for it? Or do you mean Easy Money compared to the drudgery of your regular 9 to 5 job?

I’m thinking Easy Money from doing basically nothing is just another Internet myth. Sure, we’re probably all still looking for it, but it’s extremely rare from what I’ve seen. Almost every new program promises it, but I doubt any actually deliver it. Lots of hype, but not too much Easy Money for new home business owners.
My definition of Easy Money would be more in line with ‘easy’ compared to the work I did before. Working from home is easy compared to working outside for 12 hours in the blistering heat or 12 hours at 30 degrees below zero. I’ve worked all over the world drilling oil and gas wells for many years. Working from home is very easy compared to working in the blistering heat of the Sahara Desert or the cold of the Arctic winter.

But Easy Money is a very misleading description of home based business opportunities. From what I’ve seen and experienced first hand, there’s a lot of work involved before you get to the Easy Money. There is usually a huge learning curve involved before you actually start earning that money.

It depends on your prior experience, but for a newbie there’s a lot to learn. Some businesses are easier than others, but the more you learn, the better you’ll do in the long-run. Getting that Easy Money means putting in lots of long hours studying the basics of setting up your sites, running them, and marketing them effectively.

Easy Money means putting in long hard hours promoting your site all over the Internet. Miss this step and all your other work is wasted. Without doing the marketing you won’t get the traffic, and you definitely will miss out on the Easy Money!
